Silmar® casting resins are one of the best examples of Interplastic's custom-driven focus. We offer hundreds of specially designed resins that integrate easily with your production requirements, while delivering superior results, and meeting current environmental standards.

For example, SIL95BA-40 is a polyester resin specially formulated to produce transparent castings. It cures quickly and evenly at ambient temperatures, with an excellent surface finish and high luster and sparkle. SIL95BA-40 also is an excellent choice to produce colored castings with artistic embedments. When pigment is used, the unique water-white characteristics of this resin preserve the color fidelity of the pigment and won't distort tonal values of the casting. Castings made from SIL95BA-40 have good strength and are resistant to scratching and cracking.

SIL95BA-41 is a perfect resin for clear casting applications. It's pre-promoted for ambient temperature cure. In addition, it has low viscosity, medium gel time, low exotherm, low shrinkage, water-white color, and exceptional clarity.
