Applications: Fire Resistant  

Interplastic Corporation has a successful history with fire resistant resins. For more than 35 years, we've been supplying fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) manufacturers with polyesters that resist fire and corrosion. In addition, we've been supplying fire resistant vinyl esters for nearly 25 years.

Our FRP customers, who serve industries as diverse as chemicals, construction, electrical, marine and transportation, count on CoREZYN® brand resins to help them make the products that meet their specific engineering requirements and fire resistant capabilities.

CoREZYN Resins
We customize resin formulas to meet low-grade fire resistant properties such as UL 94V-0.

Our vinyl ester, modified vinyl esters, isophthalic and orthophthalic resins that are fire resistant meet the stringent testing requirements of ASTM E84.  We have a selection of these resins that can be formulated to meet UL 94V, ASTM D635, MIL-R-21607E or MIL-R-24719. The COR VE8440, VE8441 and VE8470 are excellent choices.

Gel Coats
The Gel Coat and Colorant Group offers fire resistant gel coats.

Colorants
Our C Series polyester-compatible, heavy metal-free colorants are used to pigment a variety of fire resistant fiberglass parts.
