Resins
Interplastic has many types of resins used in the manufacture of sanitary/bathware. Whether it's laminating, casting, RTM, SMC or BMC, we have the resins for you. We provide cutting edge promoter technology that is easy to use. The consistency of color from batch-to-batch, the gel and cure parameters, and finished product performance are outstanding. Your products will last and retain their beauty for years.

Our CoREZYN® COR54 Series DCPD filled resins are a cost-effective choice that give good surface quality, and retain their structural integrity at moderate temperature exposure (150 - 200°F/ 65 - 93°C). This product family allows very high filler loading resins required by many of our customers.

Our CoREZYN COR52 Series resins are designed to have good adhesion to acrylic. This product family has been designed for use with non-filled and filled systems.

Gel Coats
The Thermoset Resins Division custom formulates CoREZYN gel coats to meet the high production demands of many of the premier sanitary ware manufacturers in the United States. All of today's most popular sanitary ware colors have been expertly matched and approved by the original designer to ensure consistency from batch-to-batch. These colors will match other components already in place in any home or office.

Choose from isophthalic, iso/NPG®, FDA-approvable, low VOC, and general purpose gel coat systems to protect and beautify sanitary ware products. Also available are sanding primer gel coats for manufacturers who post-finish their fiberglass parts. Many of these gel coats are Canadian Standards Association-approved.

Interplastic's low VOC gel coats deliver outstanding product performance and compliance with Southern California's South Coast Air Quality Management District's Rule 1162 and ANSI Z-124.3 sanitary ware tests. The low VOC pigmented gel coats have a 25 - 33% decrease in styrene levels over typical pigmented gel coats and have a weight loss below 60 grams per square meter. This satisfies two points of compliance with Rule 1162; passing only one is required. The new low VOC gel coats, like our other systems, are available heavy metal-free in the full color spectrum. All of these gel coats are CSA-approved.

Colorants
C Series polyester-based colorants are made with the highest quality pigments formulated for use with polyester resin systems. These smooth pigment pastes quickly blend and distribute evenly when stirred into the liquid resin. Opacity is obtained at various colorant levels, depending on the part's thickness and color. All CoREZYN brand standard colorants are formulated without heavy metal pigments in the latest sanitary ware colors.

Sheet Molding Compounds (SMC)
Interplastic's Molding Products Division manufactures "molded in color" SMC for use in the compression molding of light fixtures, lavatory sinks, shower stalls and bases. The improvement in part quality generated by an SMC makes this a fast-growing market segment for our Molding Products Division.
