Price Increase for CoREZYN® and Silmar® Products
(St. Paul, MN April 20, 2010) Steve Wetzel, National Sales Manager, and Daryl Francis, Business Manager West, announced today that Interplastic Corporations Thermoset Resins Division is raising the price of Silmar and CoREZYN brand polyester resins, gel coats, putties, and colorants $.06 per pound. CoREZYN vinyl ester resins will increase $.08 per pound. These increases will take effect on all shipments on or after May 15, 2010.
Key raw materials used in the production of polyester and vinyl ester resins continue to increase. In addition, plant outages and increased sales control of some key ingredients have reduced supply as demand has increased worldwide, explains Wetzel. We will continue to work with our customers in order to help minimize the impact of these increases going forward, continues Wetzel. Interplastic is committed to providing a long term, stable supply of our products to the industry.
Interplastics Thermoset Resins Division is the manufacturer of CoREZYN and Silmar brand unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, specialty resins, gel coats, and colorants for the cast polymer, solid surface and composites industries.
