Price Increase for CoREZYN® and Silmar® Products
(St. Paul, MN – June 5, 2007) Steve Wetzel, National Sales Manager, and Daryl Francis, Business Manager West, announced today that Interplastic Corporation’s Thermoset Resins Division is raising the price of CoREZYN and Silmar brand products $0.07 per pound for shipments on or after July 1, 2007. This increase includes all vinyl esters, polyesters, specialty resins, gel coats, colorants, and putties.
“We continue to see an escalation of raw materials used to manufacture polyester and vinyl ester based resins and gel coats. The feedstocks used to produce key raw materials such as the glycols, acids and styrene, all continue to increase due to higher demand and overall tight supply,” explains Wetzel. “Many of these feedstocks are used in other competing markets that continue to absorb available supply, putting more pressure on the polyester markets,” Wetzel continued. Interplastic appreciates your continued support as we work through the changing dynamics in the marketplace.
Interplastic’s Thermoset Resins Division is the manufacturer of CoREZYN and Silmar brand unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, specialty resins, gel coats, and colorants for the cast polymer, solid surface and composites industries. Interplastic Corporation’s Thermoset Resins Division is ISO 9001:2000 certified.
