NACE AIRPOL White Paper Now Available

(St. Paul, MN – September 24, 2007) Interplastic Corporation’s Thermoset Resins Division, announces the availability of their recent white paper, “Materials of Construction in Wet Scrubbing Systems for Flue Gas Desulfurization” in CD format. The white paper was presented at the NACE AIRPOL conference June 27, 2007 in Louisville, KY.

The paper discusses an actual case history of flue gas desulfurization. It reviews the materials of construction in a typical scrubbing plant and explains the various stages of the process in which physical and chemical changes convert incoming polluted flue gas into unpolluted flue gas as it’s released back into the atmosphere.

In corrosive, abrasive environments, customers using Interplastic epoxy vinyl ester resin-based fiberglass reinforced plastic not only realize a cost effective solution, but benefit from successful construction of their corrosion resistant scrubber vessels, abrasion resistant piping, and stack liners while taking into consideration the health of the environment.
