Price Increase for CoREZYN® and Silmar® Products

(St. Paul, MN – January 20, 2014) Steve Wetzel, National Sales Manager, and Daryl Francis, Business Manager West, announced today that Interplastic Corporation is raising the price of CoREZYN® and Silmar® brand polyester resins, gel coats, colorants and putties $0.04 per pound and all CoREZYN® brand vinyl ester resins by $.07 per pound. This increase will take effect for all shipments on or after February 15, 2014.

Recent increases in key polyester feedstocks such as benzene and propylene have raised the cost of many polyester and vinyl ester resin raw materials. Styrene, epoxy, glycols and other intermediate chemicals have increased and it appears this trend will continue. Interplastic will continue to take steps to keep any cost increases to a minimum.
